During the summer of 2006 I purchased a small sailboat, determined to learn to sail. With no experience I put the boat into Pinecrest lake on a nice summer day, and begin experimenting. The day went fairly smoothly with the exception of dumping it over once. After trying to upright the boat for what seemed like forever I finally got the idea to stand on the keel, which helped upright the boat much better.
After improving my skills throughout the summer I felt I had enjoyed sailing but decided the hobby was not for me and sold it a few months later.
My dog Ben even gave it a try.
